Crackpots is best known as Longmont’s fun and funky pottery-painting studio where you can create fully functional, fabulous, and personal pottery for your home or as gifts. We’ve got the largest selection of “naked” pottery in the area. From dinner plates to serving bowls, piggy banks to fairy boxes, travel mugs to teapots… the hardest part is figuring out what to paint! Once you choose your project, our staff will show you all the paints, glazes, stamps, stencils, idea books and tools at your disposal. Your job is to relax and enjoy the creative atmosphere of our studio. When you are done painting, leave your piece with us and we’ll apply a clear glaze and fire it in our kiln. Your masterpiece will be ready for pickup in about 5 days.

Walk-in customers can now try their hand at mosaics! Choose from a growing selection of plaques, picture frames mirrors, tabletops and more! Once again, no experience or talent required. Our staff is here to help. Mosaic projects can be taken home the same day they are created. We’ll provide you with grout and instructions so you can do the finishing touches at home.
